Gifted and Talented Process and Schoolwide Enrichment

Garrett combines individualized gifted services with schoolwide enrichment and advanced secondary opportunities.

How services work: School GT committees prescribe enrichment, acceleration, extension, or a combination based on student need; schoolwide enrichment, advanced electives, dual enrollment, and early-college opportunities broaden the continuum.

How students are identified: All students receive state-approved universal screening in grade 2 and grade 6. School committees consider ability, performance, potential, nominations, and state-testing evidence, notify families, and provide a written appeal path.
