Gifted and Talented

Cecil nurtures gifted learners and creative thinkers through differentiated, accelerated, and enriched learning experiences across the school system.

How services work: Elementary GT teachers provide direct service, co-planning, small groups, independent study, and curriculum compacting; grades 6–8 offer accelerated mathematics and English, followed by honors and AP coursework.

How students are identified: School teams use multiple measures of aptitude, achievement, performance, and observed gifted behaviors. Kingore observation lessons in grades 3 and 6 contribute evidence for identification.
