Gifted, Advanced Learning, and STEM

Calvert provides a continuum spanning early talent development, gifted and advanced learning, acceleration, advanced coursework, and specialized STEM experiences.

How services work: Early talent development in PreK–2 leads to gifted services in grades 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12, with subject or whole-grade acceleration, honors, AP, dual enrollment, and signature programs available by readiness.

How students are identified: The district uses universal screening and multiple measures to identify gifted, advanced, and twice-exceptional learners, then matches services to demonstrated aptitude, achievement, creativity, and academic potential.
