VENTURE / Gifted and Advanced

Paulding County's advanced-learning continuum combines elementary VENTURE, secondary advanced and honors courses, academies, and acceleration opportunities.

How services work: Elementary VENTURE provides six weekly segments with a gifted-certified teacher through interdisciplinary enrichment. Middle and high schools offer advanced and honors work across core subjects and world languages, with AP, dual enrollment, specialized academies, and possible whole-grade acceleration.

How students are identified: Teachers, families, counselors, administrators, and other knowledgeable adults may refer, and the district also uses universal screening. Multiple factors include eligibility testing, academic performance, student strengths, and teacher observation.
