Georgia gifted education requirements

Georgia requires local systems to adopt state-consistent gifted eligibility rules, obtain family consent, provide approved gifted service models, and evaluate continuing eligibility annually.

What this means for families: Students may enter consideration through automatic screening or referrals from families, educators, peers, themselves, or others. Eligibility considers mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation under one of two state pathways.
