Challenge Gifted Program

Lee County's Challenge program provides special instruction for gifted students throughout the district, extending regular learning through advanced projects, presentations, and enrichment.

How services work: Elementary students use a daily resource pull-out for one class period, with interdisciplinary work in problem solving, critical and creative thinking, advanced research, and communication. Other grade-level models should be confirmed locally.

How students are identified: Educators, administrators, families, peers, students, and other knowledgeable individuals may submit written referrals. Placement requires testing under Georgia criteria, generally conducted in spring, with transfer records considered.
