Program for Gifted Students
Jones County serves qualified gifted and talented students throughout K–12 using differentiated curriculum based on advanced learners' needs.
How services work: At elementary level, eligible students attend a resource setting one day each week. The current high-school handbook confirms K–12 service but does not spell out one secondary model, so families should ask the gifted coordinator or principal.
How students are identified: Educators, automatic test-score review, families, students, and peers may refer. Annual evaluations collect evidence in mental ability, creativity, achievement, and motivation for committee review.
