Gifted Program

Johnson County provides locally differentiated gifted programming for identified students in grades 2–12 under Georgia eligibility requirements.

How services work: Grades 2–5 use whole-grade enrichment plus differentiated assignments supported by biweekly specialist collaboration; grades 6–8 offer advanced-math placement and teacher collaboration; grades 9–12 offer honors classes and dual-enrollment opportunities.

How students are identified: Students are identified under Georgia State Board Rule 160-4-2-.38 and the Georgia gifted-services resource manual. Families should contact the district gifted educator for referral and evaluation procedures.
