Discovery / Gifted Education Services
Habersham County combines an elementary gifted center with cluster and collaborative services, then advances students through accelerated middle and high-school academic pathways.
How services work: Grades 1–5 attend the Discovery Center one day weekly and may also receive clusters or collaboration. Grades 6–8 use advanced content and may accelerate into high-school courses; grades 9–12 offer honors and AP across core areas.
How students are identified: K–12 referral forms and local procedures are published. Eligibility collects evidence in mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation under Georgia rules, with placement tied to advanced learning needs.
