Gifted Program

Fayette County serves gifted students in every grade through accelerated, enriched learning focused on advanced content, critical thinking, inquiry, research, and communication.

How services work: K–5 students receive a full-day resource model or daily advanced block; grades 6–12 receive services in specific academic content areas. Continuation standards are published for gifted and AP or accelerated courses.

How students are identified: Teachers, families, students, and systemwide testing may initiate referral. Evaluation considers mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation under Georgia criteria, and eligible Georgia transfers retain reciprocity.
