Gifted Education
Effingham County provides a sequential continuum of challenging experiences for identified gifted learners through multiple state-approved programming options.
How services work: Models vary by grade and may include advanced content, cluster grouping, and collaboration between gifted-endorsed and general educators. Differentiated work extends standards through critical thinking, research, communication, technology, and projects.
How students are identified: Any knowledgeable person may nominate, and the district also uses automatic referral. With family consent, trained staff evaluate mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation during designated windows under Georgia's two routes.
