Gifted Education Program
Dawson County operates a district gifted program with school leads across elementary, middle, junior-high, and high-school levels and a stated focus on advocating for and meeting each gifted learner's needs.

How students are identified: Georgia public-school transfer eligibility is recognized through records. Students entering from out-of-state, private, or home-school programs require updated testing because Georgia does not grant automatic reciprocity for those determinations.
