Gifted Education Program
Columbia County provides differentiated instruction for eligible gifted learners through resource, advanced-content, cluster, collaborative, AP, and IB options across the K–12 continuum.
How services work: Elementary schools may use resource, cluster, and collaborative models; middle schools use advanced content, cluster, and collaboration; high schools add AP and IB to advanced-content and cluster services. Dual enrollment extends the advanced pathway.
How students are identified: Families, educators, administrators, counselors, peers, and students may refer. Evaluation considers mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation, using Georgia's psychometric pathway or qualification in three of the four areas.
