Advanced Learning / AIM

Cherokee County School District identifies, supports, and challenges gifted and high-achieving learners through advanced content, cluster grouping, and elementary AIM resource classes.

How services work: Elementary students who meet gifted criteria attend AIM resource classes for at least five weekly segments, using interdisciplinary enrichment, advanced research, creative and critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and authentic products.

How students are identified: The district screens all students annually using achievement and ability evidence and accepts family, teacher, peer, self, and administrator referrals. School councils review supporting data, obtain written consent, and test under Georgia eligibility rules.
