Gifted Programs
Sarasota County provides a continuum of gifted services matched to individual academic need, including enrichment, full-time advanced work, accelerated magnet programs, and consultation.
How services work: Options include accelerated gifted magnets, full-time Advanced Work classrooms, resource pull-out enrichment, and consultation. Magnet sites span grades 1–12, including Pine View School for grades 2–12; not every model is available at every school.
How students are identified: Teachers or families may refer through the student's zoned school. Students may advance from screening to an individual evaluation; eligibility requires qualifying intellectual assessment, gifted-characteristics scales, and evidence of need for services.
