Gifted Services

St. Johns County provides a districtwide continuum of challenging, rigorous services aligned with Florida's K–12 Gifted Learner Framework and research-based gifted materials.

How services work: Grades K–5 use a Blend Model with gifted peers and an endorsed teacher; grades 6–8 use daily advanced-content grouping in at least one course; grades 9–12 use a consultation model with progress monitoring at least monthly.

How students are identified: Eligibility follows Florida Rule 6A-6.03019, requiring demonstrated need, gifted characteristics, and qualifying intellectual development or the approved underrepresented-student pathway. EPs document individualized goals and services.
