Gifted Services / Centers for Gifted Studies
Pinellas County provides gifted services in every school, developing critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, social-emotional growth, and advanced learning aligned with Florida gifted goals.
How services work: Elementary students choose 3–5 weekly pull-out hours or full-time Gifted Centers; middle schools offer part-time services, daily advanced-academics electives, and full-time centers; high school uses advanced pathways, an online gifted elective, and monthly consultation.
How students are identified: Families, educators, peers, or students may nominate. Schools administer CogAT or NNAT screening, recommend further individual assessment from qualifying results, determine Florida eligibility, then develop an EP and obtain service consent.
