Gifted Education

Indian River County provides specially designed educational opportunities for students identified as gifted through its Exceptional Student Education department.

How services work: Services are individualized through each student's Educational Plan. The reviewed public overview does not publish one grade-by-grade delivery schedule, so families should confirm the current model with their school ESE resource specialist.

How students are identified: Eligibility follows Florida gifted criteria. Parent-initiated private evaluations may be submitted to the school ESE resource specialist and must be considered in district eligibility decision-making under the district's published review procedure.
