Advanced Academics / Gifted Services
Citrus County provides gifted instruction with significant adaptations in curriculum, methods, materials, equipment, or learning environment for students meeting Florida eligibility requirements.
How services work: The district lists direct or indirect service options and advanced-academics courses for K–5 and grades 6–8, plus gifted skills, research methodology, externship, and studies courses for grades 9–12.
How students are identified: Students must meet Florida gifted eligibility criteria and receive services through their educational planning process. The district progression plan and school ESE staff provide current referral and placement guidance.
