Gifted and Talented Program

Broward County provides rigorous, enriched instruction for K–12 gifted learners, using differentiated content, process, products, pacing, complexity, and acceleration to support academic and whole-child growth.

How services work: Every school develops a comprehensive local plan under the district procedural guide. Services are delivered in core content according to individual need, and the district also offers dedicated Gifted Academies at selected middle and high schools.

How students are identified: Families, educators, staff, students, or other knowledgeable people may refer. All second graders are universally screened with STAR results, followed by screening and evaluation under Florida eligibility requirements.
