Center for Gifted and Talented Studies
Alachua County's Archer Elementary magnet provides gifted and academically talented students an immersive full-day program emphasizing challenge, project-based learning, world languages, science, enrichment, and leadership.
How services work: Students learn in a full-day magnet setting with gifted-endorsed teachers. The program uses repeated science labs, co-teaching with a certified gifted teacher, project-based enrichment, and school-community leadership activities.
How students are identified: Admission is competitive and considers need for academic challenge, motivation, curiosity, gifted identification or above-average curriculum-based test scores, behavior, and attendance. Families apply through the district magnet process.
