The mission of our gifted programming is to provide identified students with rigorous, engaging and challenging educational opportunities which are responsive to their individual strengths and needs so that they will achieve academic and personal growth commensurate with their abilities.

How students are identified: Students need to score in the 95th percentile or higher on these standardized assessments to qualify for gifted identification.

Gifted Education / Advanced Learning Plan (ALP)

Colorado's Exceptional Children's Educational Act requires administrative units—including districts and multi-district BOCES—to identify and serve gifted learners.

Research scope: This record confirms the statewide requirement or framework, not a locally named program. Applicability can differ for charter or special-purpose agencies; confirm the district's current services.

How services work: Every identified learner receives an Advanced Learning Plan with standards-based academic and affective goals and programming aligned to individual strengths and needs. Local administrative-unit plans describe the available services.

How students are identified: Identification begins with referral or universal screening and uses a body of evidence gathered from multiple sources over time; no single data point determines gifted identification.
