Gifted and Talented Education
The Gifted and Talented Program at Lake County is offered through multiple pathways for students depending upon the grade level.
How services work: Students at the High School are served through advanced programming that includes accelerated classes, college courses taken at Colorado Mountain College, advanced placement classes (AP) and even independent studies where warranted.
How students are identified: Most students who are identified as Gifted and Talented in LCSD receive that designation in 2nd grade or beyond and have a significant Body of Evidence to support that identification.
