Gifted Education
Randolph County identifies gifted learners districtwide and continues eligible middle-school students on gifted rolls into high school.
How services work: Middle-school gifted education can include eighth-grade Algebra I, Spanish I, or Biology when specified in the student's Gifted Education Plan; high-school pathways include advanced coursework.
How students are identified: Anyone knowledgeable about a student may refer, all second graders are observed, and aptitude, characteristics, and performance determine matrix eligibility.
