How students are considered

Published processA family begins by contacting the gifted coordinator and submitting the official referral form to the school office or gifted facilitator. Staff collect preliminary evidence and may administer an abilities test. The identification team reviews three qualifying pieces of evidence. Students not yet meeting the standard may be reevaluated later and may receive talent-pool programming while more evidence is gathered.

What service can look like

Published modelServices may combine pullout enrichment, classroom differentiation, curriculum compacting, accelerated pace, content extensions, independent study, cluster grouping, mentors, inquiry and project learning, and tiered instruction. Identified students develop annual academic and social-emotional goals through an Advanced Learning Plan.

03Provide work samples, parent observations, and other evidence aligned to the suspected strength area.
04Ask which three state-qualifying evidence points the team will review and when the identification decision will be made.
05If the result is talent pool or gifted identification, request the specific service plan and participate in annual academic and social-emotional ALP goal setting.
