Published processReferrals go to the principal or district designee and require family permission before individual assessment. The team collects culturally fair qualitative and quantitative evidence from multiple sources, including intellectual ability, achievement, behaviors, demonstrated performance, work, interviews, and assessments. Local placement is decided by a team, families receive written notice, and an appeal route is available.
Published modelAn Advanced Learning Plan is created within 30 school days after identification and updated annually with family and student input. Depending on need and local resources, services may include advanced classes, curriculum compacting, differentiation, rapid pacing, mentoring, social-emotional support, targeted services, and subject or grade acceleration.
