How students are considered

Published processA parent, guardian, teacher, principal, staff member, or student may refer. The coordinator collects parent, student, and teacher input plus grades and assessment evidence before recommending services or testing. Formal testing uses CogAT verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal reasoning; NNAT3 may support English learners, students receiving exceptional-student services, and other at-risk students. The district publishes a local service threshold beginning at the 90th percentile or highly proficient state-assessment performance.

04Request the CogAT or NNAT3 scores, the eligibility decision, and the written description of services; results should arrive within 30 school days of testing.
