REACH Gifted Services,

Amphitheater's REACH pathway combines scheduled CogAT testing with unusually specific grade-level services. Every second grader is screened, elementary pullout hours are published, and identified learners can continue through specialized middle- and high-school courses.

Your starting checklist

Turn the published process into clear next steps.

Confirm current instructions with the district before submitting. Bloomfield does not predict placement or reproduce protected assessments.

01Contact the school's REACH teacher, ask for the current testing date, and submit the signed Permission to Test form before that date.
02For a second grader, confirm inclusion in first-semester universal CogAT screening; for K-1 or Grades 3-11, confirm the applicable semester and referral route.
03Request battery-level verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal percentiles and ask whether full Arizona eligibility or Amphitheater's one-year provisional range applies.
04After identification, confirm the grade-specific placement and the named REACH teacher responsible for instruction or advocacy.
05For elementary students, verify the published one- or two-hour weekly pullout schedule; for secondary students, review REACH course registration before schedules close.
