How students are considered
Published processAll second graders are observed and may complete eliciting lessons that create work samples. Standard referrals are accepted for Grades 3-5, and the 90-day process may include assessments, work samples, behavior scales, parent consent, and review by the school Gifted Referral Screening Team.
What service can look like
Published modelK-2 students receive consultation support. Qualified students in Grades 3-5 receive concept- and problem-based pullout instruction that includes social-emotional support. In Grades 6-12, the district provides advanced course options rather than describing one uniform gifted class.
